Valerie writes such amazing books that are intense and full of stress so I was like “Can she pull off a comedy?” DUDE she did it and she did it so well. I gotta admit I was nervous how this book would go. I was given this book by the author for an honest review. Holy hot flashes, she may have sunk her fangs into more than she can handle. All occupants of the B&B, Fangri-La and Sabrina’s job is to turn Christoph’s new acquisition into a thriving business. A succubus kicked out of Hell, an old as dirt reaper, a purple dragon whose hiccups light eyebrows on fire, and a cute as can be pooch that’s really a Hellhound. When she learns he can cure more than her animalistic urges, she will promise anything.Įnter the misfits. Ready to jump his ancient bones, she manages self control. There is a God and he goes by the name of Christoph, the king of the New Orleans coven and a vampire who is hotter than her night sweats. In the story, the lady loses hope in retaining any normalcy in her life and that pushes her to leave her comfort zone that she has never left before. The stormy weather represents the chaos we create for ourselves and our environment when we let the curse (our doubts) become a reality when it really doesn’t have to. She gets in the boat and carves “The Lady of Shalott” on the front of the boat. The lady of Shalott finally leaves her abode to find a boat floating under a willow tree. There is now a “stormy” wind, the yellow leaves of the forest seem to be disappearing, the river is complaining and heavy rain begins to fall. Stanza fourteen begins with stormy weather, portraying to the reader the circumstances of the situation. We are now entering the last part of this poem.
